If you're staying in Laughlin and dread launching at Katherine's Landing, you may want to consider driving north on Hwy 95 to Searchlight, NV, then east 14miles.  About an hour drive, it may get you on the water much faster in peak season.  And if you're headed to the Willow Beach Harbor area by boat Cottonwood puts you 20 miles closer by water.  Launching at Cottonwood Cove is much quicker with their large ramp, able to get you on the water quick and safe.  You don't have to deal with so many people here!
