Finishes Frazier Mountain

Last Thursday’s Volleyball match up between Lancaster High School and guest Frazier Mountain High School proved to be a fairly even contest until the fourth and deciding game.
Frazier Mountain won a close first game (25-23). Lancaster came back to narrowly capture games two and three. The score in the fourth game stood at 10-5 in favor of Lancaster High School when 16 year old senior Roxanne Neely began serving. Thirteen devastating jump serves later, the score had become 23-5 and Frazier Mountain was finished.
Frazier Mountain did gain some ground before Lancaster made the last two points needed for the win. It was Lancaster’s first non-scrimmage game of the season.
Lancaster faces Quartz Hill, a perennial Golden League favorite, on Tuesday at Lancaster. It promises to be an interesting match. |
