In 2003, former SMBC club member Trisha Bratford was a scholarship player for the Minnesota Gophers, who made it to the Final Four. Minnesota upset the Stanford team to play in the regional finals at Long Beach, and Trisha (a junior) made the match-winning kill. A 2001 high-school graduate, Trisha played for Turhan Douglas' 18-1 team at SMBC.
