| A 117 bed acute care facility with net revenues of $50 million, Lancaster Community Hospital is located 60 miles northeast of metropolitan Los Angeles, in a rapidly expanding area of Los Angeles county. |
| Lancaster Community Hospital has served the Antelope Valley for 38 years in its present location. LCH was founded in 1938 with 6 beds. In 1964 the present site was dedicated with a 47 bed capacity. Expansion took place in 1984 with the addition of critical care, cardiac care, and an increase in bed capacity to the present size of 117 beds. LCH also offers physical therapy and rehab services, inpatient and outpatient surgery, and 24 hour emergency care. Michael Marquez, Vice-President of Acute Care, Western Region, for UHS said," LCH is an excellent facility." The Antelope Valley consists primarily of the cities of Lancaster and Palmdale and outlying communities within 25 miles of the hospital, and has a population of approximately 450,000. While half the workforce commutes to the LA area, the influx of major employers and new residents continues, making the Antelope Valley one of the fastest growing communities in California. Universal Health Services, Inc. is one of the nation's largest hospital companies, operating in 22 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and France. It acts as the advisor to Universal Health Realty Income Trust, a real estate investment trust (NYSE: UHT).
