Acton - July 4th parade and celebration - 9 a.m. Wednesday, July 4. This year's theme is "Peace and Paradise," featuring grand marshals George and Sharon Runner. Fort Tejon - July 4th Celebration of 1856 - 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, July 4. Event will feature park volunteers in period attire of the U.S. Army and civilians, a 31-cannon salute and living history demonstrations, such as artillery drills, blacksmithing, adobe brickmaking, open hearth cooking, needle craft and carpentry. The park is a Civil War-era outpost and supply depot. Picnic lunches are recommended; the park has no concessions. Admission: $3 for adults. Lancaster Cemetery - The Friends of the Lancaster Cemetery will have a "4th of July Old-fashion 4th of July celebration for AV Families" from 9 a.m. to noon at the Lancaster Cemetery, 111 East Lancaster Blvd. Activities will include a pancake breakfast, a bicycle and wagon parade and scavenger hunt.
